13 Gifts of Funding & Material to the General Library Collections

The University Library limits the gifts of material (gifts in kind) to support instruction and research due to staffing shortages. Gifts of material are accepted from campus faculty and units as a priority.

However, we can readily accept monetary gifts that support collection building. Financial support can be made through the Library Information Resources Fund donation form.

When we can process gifts of material again, we request that donors provide us with a list of the material to be donated for us to review against our collection. We cannot accept obsolete formats such as cassette tapes, VHS tapes, or vinyl records to name a few.

Gifts of materials must be pre-arranged either with a subject liaison or with the collection development & management librarian, Jill Emery at jemery@pdx.edu.
