Write sentences showing how you would introduce the person(s) in the first set of brackets to the person(s) in the second set of brackets. Follow the examples.

MODELO 1: [Héctor (usted)] → [Mariana y Paula] → Héctor, le presento a Mariana y Paula.
MODELO 2: [Ana y Lucy] → [Carlos] → Ana y Lucy, les presento a Carlos.

  1. [Fabricio (tú)] → [mi hermano, Ángel]
  2. [Compañeros de clase] → [mi novio, Ignacio]
  3. [Señor Fernández] → [la dentista, Elisa Rodríguez]

 

¿Quién es?: the verb ‘ser’

We can use the verb SER to identify ourselves and others.

Origen: ‘ser de’

Use the expression SER DE to express where someone is from. To ask where someone is from use ¿De dónde [ser]?

  • Soy de Oregon.
  • Óscar, ¿de dónde eres?
  • Buenas tardes, señora Gallardo. ¿De dónde es usted?
  • Mi esposo y yo (My husband and I) somos de México.
  • Sus padres (Your parents) son de Cuba, ¿verdad? (Right?)
