Search for Web Sources

Almost any internet search engine will work fine for your internet searches.  Google is certainly the most popular one to use, but it can be overwhelming to sift through hundreds of thousands of results to locate credible information to use in your research.  Your Google results list has a few helpful filters near the top, such as News and Videos, and a time range limiter located under Tools.

So, how do you save time while searching for credible information on the web?  It’s helps to know what kind of information you are looking for.  For example, do you need information from the state government on your topic, or are you looking for information from a local nonprofit on your topic?  The video below explains how to use the site searching shortcut to save you time.
